About Me

Who I am
I am Dan Digmann, and I am committed to the personal theory of collaborative, honest, and respectfully transparent mission-driven leadership.

My leadership vision is rooted in a career rich in strategically communicating with external and internal audiences, often with the goal of encouraging them to respond to the targeted call to action.

This includes in my current position as a Copywriting Lead at Ruffalo Noel Levitz where the goal is to drive prospective students to apply or express interest in respective universities nationwide. Results of my work include:

• Serving as the lead writer of a team that produced a campaign that led a Texas-based university to a 41% increase in freshman class enrollment and 14% more than the previous record high enrollment.

• Collaborating with my graphic designer to rethink the messaging of an existing enrollment marketing campaign for an Illinois-based college to produce one that earned a Gold Award in the Annual Educational Advertising Awards.

I also specialized in this type of marketing communications as the Assistant Director of University Communications at Central Michigan University. But what is key for my leadership development is my personal involvement and commitment to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society for the past 25 years. I was diagnosed with MS on February 14, 2000 (yes, on Valentine’s Day) and have turned to the NMSS from Day 1. I am engaged as a top fundraiser in Walk MS, lead a local self-help group and am a leading MS activist – serving on the Michigan Government Relations Advisory Committee and in 2015 was inducted with my wife, Jennifer, into the Volunteer Hall of Fame for Advocacy.

“I never made nor took the time to think about what drove me to speak or take action.  I merely followed my gut, which gravitated toward what felt right.  After nearly three decades of professional experience and twenty-five years as an MS activist, my ‘gut’ was telling me I needed to grow as a leader by pursuing my MA in Leadership from Wartburg College.”
